In this webinar, originally organised by SCL Africa, the team look at the risk of climate change and its impact on construction contracts.

In this session, Damian James is joined by: Marcia Davids of Group 33 Advocates and Eric Dunn, SC of the Maisels Group.

As noted in Marcia’s article, there are a whole range of issues raised by the ongoing climate crisis and the construction industry’s reaction to it. Join us to find out what the contractual risks of climate change might be.

Below you can see some of the questions the speakers answered, and the topics discussed.

Topics covered:

  • As ‘adverse weather’ becomes less and less unusual, what is the cost of inaction?
  • What are the likely impacts on construction contracts, disputes and dispute resolution?
  • Will there need to be change in the drafting of contracts?
