Congratulations to Damian James. Last week Damian won the Lexology Client Choice award for best arbitration expert witness in South Africa.
The Lexology Client Choice Awards, established in 2005, recognise experts from law and consulting firms as well as barristers worldwide. They seek to recognise those who stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service. The awards are unique in being based exclusively on the feedback from clients. They result from a comprehensive research process that involves a readership survey of in-house counsel subscribers to Lexology.
Clients are asked to rate individuals on an array of criteria. The criteria include quality of advice, value for money, commercial awareness and effective communication. The team also examine billing transparency, tailored fee structures, response time, sharing of expertise, and use of technology. The results of this survey are used to draw up shortlists by country and work area. Shortlisted candidates are then invited to submit up to five client referees.
A Huge Honour
Damian said, “It’s a huge honour to receive such an award, and particularly one that truly recognises the service we as a business strive to provide to our clients. It’s recognition of not just my work, but those who support me and recognise the importance of delivering a quality service to clients every time. Thanks to Christiaan and the rest of the Damian James team and to our clients for their support.”
The awards cover a broad spectrum of categories, reflecting the diversity of legal services. These include Arbitration & ADR, Banking, Competition & Antitrust, Corporate Immigration, Corporate Tax, Energy & Natural Resources, Environment, Gaming, Intellectual Property, Labour & Employment, and many more. Each category recognizes individuals who have excelled in their respective fields, providing exceptional service to their clients.
